Tour’s Program

Morning departure from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech to Dades Gorges, pass through the mountain roads above Morocco (2260 m), the Tizin tichka (literally means '' pass '' pastures in Tamazight). Stopping en route to take pictures. Continuing on to Telouet, visit the Kasbah Glaoui (sometimes also called Glaoui palace; this was built between the nineteenth and twentieth century. It was occupied by the famous Thami El Glaoui). Then passing through the valley Ounila to Ait Ben Haddou. This valley was used as a crossing by the caravans between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Throughout the valley, there is a striking contrast between the ocher of the earth and rocks and the green plantations, for those who take the time to observe. Visit Kasbar Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most famous of southern Morocco, now classified a world heritage by Unesco. This fortified city was built a few hundred years on a promontory, to escape the invasions of foreign tribes. If you climb up to the attic of the ruins you can admire the view of the palms and the desert surroundings. To this day only a few families still live there. After lunch we depart to the Dades Gorge, crossing the Valley of Roses. Dinner and overnight at a Hotel.
After breakfast, departure to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing through the palm of Tinerhir and the Todra Gorge. Stopping for a brief tour, then continue on to Erfoud. Visit a geological fossil site (Amonite) and lunch en route. Continuing on by a track that extends through the dunes of Erg Chebbi to the village of Khamlia (possibility of a tea break in Gnaoua with a local family) around 5pm you will mount camels to take you to your bivouac in the dunes, with a stop to watch the sunset. Dinner and night in a Berber tent with the evening around the fire, Tam Tam music with the nomads.
As Nomads, the only persons are able to be adapted to the difficulties of the desert. Wake up aroud 7 :00 to live the sun rise between the waves of a sea of sand. It is the serenity that has inspired writers and photographers, one of the famous is Paul Bowles, where even memory disappears." Morocco ends here, surprisingly, the only place that you lose infinity beyond the horizon. We are back on the road to the north. You will accros the mountains of the Middle Atlas Western from which there is some of the most beautiful stretches of cedar and hazel born in Morocco and most important rivers. Landscapes chase in particular in the area of Azrou, Ifrane, popular center for winter sports, known as "the Switzerland of Morocco." You’ll make a stop in Midelt and then continuation to Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities, the most important historical and artistic center of the country
