The day trip starts in the morning from Marrakech. The trip lasts about 4 hours.
Ouarzazate was founded by the French in the Twenties.
It is in the Dadès valley, between the Draa valley (in the central part of Morocco), near the Sahara desert.
Nearby there are many movie studios (Atlas Film Corporation Studio). Many famous movies, such as Lawrence of Arabia and The Sheltering Sky or Kundun of Martin Scorsese were made here and others are in the works.
The movies Salomon and David were produced in 1997 in Ouarzazate . On the outskirts of Ouarzazate, towards Tinerhir, we will visit the Casbah Taorirt, which was inhabited until the Thirties. The Casbah was used, in 2006, for the third edition of the Italian reality show, “La fattoria”.
