The day trip starts in the morning from Marrakech. The trip lasts about 3 hours.
The visit to the ancient city of Mogador, (the old name of Essaouira), starts from the port, mainly used for fishing boats, and one of the busiest parts of the city. Then we will go to the heart of the city, passing through the Marina and the Sqala of the port, from where, going up a stairway, we will reach the highest part of the city walls, and then go on the to Sqala of the Casba. Then we will tour the suk and the marketplace, walking through its maze of small passageways. The afternoon will be free to go to the sea or take a walk along the beach if it is too windy. It is a beautiful beach, so long that you can't see one end from the other. Optionally, you can take an hour-long boat trip ito the other side of the bay, going by the Porpora islands.
